Training content
This two-day Rapid Prototyping Workshop introduces participants to the principles and practical methods of prototyping, using both analog and digital tools. Through hands-on sessions in a well-equipped FabLab, interdisciplinary teams develop and refine their own prototype ideas, gaining first experiences with tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, and microcontrollers. The workshop fosters creativity, user-centered thinking, and collaboration, while emphasizing feasibility and iteration. Each team presents its prototype in a final pitch session, receiving constructive feedback. Optional elements such as expert input, certification, or follow-up workshops can enrich the experience.
Programme Highlights
- Introduction to the purpose and value of prototyping in innovation and problem-solving
- Overview of commonly used prototyping tools and techniques (digital and analog)
- Hands-on activities focused on developing and prototyping participants’ own ideas
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and creative thinking
